Attribute Analysis of Charts Used for Data Presentation Using Information Dashboards
Barič, Filip ; Rudnitckaia, Julia (referee) ; Hruška, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is related to the issue of diagrams used for data presentation in informational dashboards. The thesis also explains the process of creating dashboards, basic design principles and the area of human perception. Analysis of each individual diagram, together with their pros and cons and possibilities of use is introduced as well. The primary objective is the research of visual properties and their impact on final usability. Test set was created using the implemented graph generator, working with defined model which describes selected properties of diagrams. As the output of this thesis, a set of recommendations suitable for design of selected diagrams is defined.
System for E-learning Support
Drahoš, Michal ; Eysselt, Miloš (referee) ; Kreslíková, Jitka (advisor)
This project is dealing with creating of system for e-learning support. It describes problematics of e-learning, explains meaning of this term and describes its advantages and disadvantages. The objectives were to create an application suitable for electronic learning, which could illustrate specifications of restrictions of the system objects. This means to create an application, where is explained the problem of OCL in that kind of format, which reacts the structure and the form of application used for e-learning. I meet the program languages of OCL and UML 2.0. I read over the CASE Rational Rose environment and meet the e-learning problem, too. These are the knowledges, which I used while I was creating my e-learning application.

(Mis)use of graphical representation in annual reports of companies
CZERWENKOVÁ, Michala
This theses conducts an analysis of graphical representation in annual reports from year 2020 of leading companies from the Czech republic and companies listed on the Prague Stock Exchange. Annual reports are turned into attractive documents due to graphs and diagrams. A graph can represent a large amount of data and provides information about trends. Companies might manage their public representation through graphical representation so graphs are considered as tools of impression management. An example of tools of impression management is a graphical measurement distortion which is measured with indexes GDI (Graph Discrepancy Index) and RGD (Re-lative Graph Discepancy). The main cause of graph discrepancies are broken axes, such as non-zero axes, wrong scales and not displayed axes. Other very frequently applied tool is manipulation with time series through reversed time series and lenght of graphed time series.
Code Generation from UML Activity Diagrams
Gajarský, Pavol ; Richta, Karel (advisor) ; Strnad, Pavel (referee)
Code generation from UML is still very limited. Diagrams, which are usually used for code generation describes the static structure. These are mostly the class diagrams. One of the most useful and least used types of diagrams is behavioral diagrams. The reason for this is mainly a lack of support from the UML specification. The onset of version 2.0 has brought visible changes in this area. This thesis will focus only on activity diagrams and possibilities of code generation from them. One of them will be verified on a prototype tool that can generate skeleton of code in chosen language (e.g. Java, C + +, PHP ,...). Then it will be compared to alternative approaches and evaluated in terms of its advantages and disadvantages. As input is expected activity diagram created and exported by external CASE tool in XMI format. Architecture of tool will provide possibility of defining new modules. So the end user will be able to program another output language by the medium of given interface.
